Distance: 20 miles – Difficulty: 1/5 – Weather: Fine with light drizzle on return
Four riders made the start at the Choir Hall, including first-timer Darren Lloyd. The route took us through Caerwent, Carrow Hill, St Brides and into Magor, initially stopping at the Golden Lion but when it became apparent that they were not serving food, we switched to the Wheatsheaf which was excellent. We were also joined for dinner by Darren’s wife, Bev Lloyd and Sue Earnshaw who had driven there to meet us.
