With a couple of days to catch-up on, 5 route 66ers out with the longest ride from Rob Stallard with a 25 mile cycle around the lanes to Redwick. Rob also reached and passed through Oklahoma City, congratulations. Also out sampling the beer at the Golden Lion in Magor where, birthday girl Sue Earnsahw, Tracey Eastabrook, David Vass and Tony Griffiths.
Six routers out today, Christine Smith, Grahame Morton, Tony Griffiths, Shane Carey, David Vass and Sue Earnshaw all improving their mileage. Also moving forward are Kaf and John Faragher, back after enjoying the slopes of beautiful Canada.
Two riders out today, Steve Tobin put himself into second position with a ride around Wentwood, whilst David Vass improved his total and into 10th spot with a ride to Pontprennau.
Busy day today, lots of riders out on various events, too many to mention individually. Again, its congrats to Christine Smith who has reached McLean, Texas; Sue Earnshaw getting to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Tony Griffiths passing through Springfield, Missouri and Grahame Morton riding through Pontiac, Illinois.
Well today it was girl power, big congrats to Helen Gilmore,Helena Hunt and Francesca Cooper for taking on, and conquering the mighty Tumble climb at Abergavenny. Also out, and congratulations to Christine Smith who is the first 66er to pass 1,000 miles, and well done too to Helen on reaching 600, Helena 300 and Francesca 200 miles.Christine also reached the Texas State Line, another state ticked-off.
At last, light nights – Five 66ers out today, with the longest ride for Rob Stallard with a 22 miler. Christine Smith, Tony Ward, Grahame Morton and Tony Griffiths also added to their tallies. Congrats to Rob who topped 800 miles today.
Good weather means plenty of rides – 8 riders out today, huge congrats to Steve Tobin completing his first century ride of 101 miles o Crickhowell. Big ride also for Sue Earnshaw with a 49 miler to Monmouth. Also out where Christine Smith, Helen Gilmore, Janet Vale, Neil Gilmore, Shane Carey and Robert Stallard. Further congratulations to Steve on passing the 800 mile barrier and reaching Oklahoma City. Also congrats to Sue on passing 800 miles, and to Neil Gilmore and Shane Carey on reaching Springfield, Illinois.
A better day today weather wise, longer days and riders taking advantage with 5 Route 66ers out. Top ride must go to David Vass whose 32 miles to Cardiff was closely followed by David Whittle’s seaside jaunt to Porthcawl. Also out were Helen Gilmore, Christine Smith and Grahame Morton. Congratulations to Christine on reaching Clinton, Oklahoma and passing onto Stage 6, and to David Vass on reaching St. Louis, Missouri.
Just a single ride today for Robert Stallard, a 22 miler to Redwick. Also catching up with two rides from Janet Vale from over the weekend. A 20 mile and 16 mile trips over the Severn Bridge. Congrats to Janet on reaching Pontiac, Illinois.
With the heavy rain and high winds over the Easter holidays, not many brave souls ventured out, although Christine Smith extended her lead and cleared the 900 mile barrier with two rides in the last couple of days. Also congrats to David Vass, whose 20 miler today put him over the 300 mile mark.
