  1. We have come to the end of the year, the Route 66 Challenge has got off to a great start, with 13 of the now 18 intended starters having made their way on the route from Chicago. There has been a slight re-jig of teams, just keeping partners together, nothing too drastic.Happy New Year everyone, see you in California !

    1. For anyone using Garmin Connect you can also create this challenge as a Goal (under the Plan tab). It shows you a percentage progress bar….which I haven’t decided if its a good or bad thing!!

  2. Three riders were all out at it again today, excellent effort of 42 miles from Helena Hunt, 14 miles from Kirstie Benjamin and Tracey Eastabrook off the mark with a 17 mile ride.

  3. And we are away – 8 riders made an effort today with Gareth Davies clocking up 49 miles followed by Helena Hunt with 35 and Robert Stallard 22. There are now 17 riders who are making the Route 66 trip.

  4. Just 1 day to go before the start of the challenge. Riders have been drawn into four teams; yellow, red, green and blue, with an extra team motivation on which team completes the most miles and the most feet climbed over the duration of the event (Top 3 scores only counting). Team Yellow (Carolyn, Francesca, Robert and Tony G.), Team Red (Chris, Gareth, Sharon and Tony W.), Team Green (David, Helena, Steve and Tracey) and Team Blue (Diane, Kaf, Sue and the next entrant).

  5. 4 days to go, 15 interested riders, that’s £150 for charity. To keep on track you need to have completed 175 miles by the end of January.

  6. Now we have 10 riders interested. Checking out the comments section. Intend to do a weekly blog of the progress once we get going.
