Choir Riders – Redwick Challenge

Sunday, 22nd May 2022

To date this year Caldicot Male Voice choir has raised almost £2000 as a result of 2 concerts. The Choir, with its associated cycle and golf clubs is also supporting Ready, Steady, Go a charity based in Undy which supports young children with autism and their families with advice, activities and meetings. On May 22nd for the first time in 3 years in glorious spring weather, the Choir’s Cycle Club was able to resume the Redwick Challenge where cyclists are challenged to ride as many times as they feel like around a 2 mile circuit of Redwick Village. The winners were Rachel Madge and Richard Kelly who each rode over 50 laps, completing over 100 miles. Best choristers were Russ Woodward and Anthony Griffiths with 23 laps. Well done Dave Gould, oldest chorister on the day who rode 24 miles!Latest estimates are that over £250 has been raised for the charity on the day.
