This was Tracey’s last Rogiet Parkrun before she moves out of the area, down to Laugharne in Carmarthenshire. Best of luck in your new home, I am sure we will meet at another Parkrun sometime.

First light, evening run of the year around the Cornfield, with six runners and walkers present. Nice to welcome back Chris and Kirstie Nolan.

Distance: 17.5 miles – Refreshment stop: Wheatsheaf, Magor – Difficulty: 1/5 – Riders: 6
First group ride this year, nice to be back out on the bikes with six cyclists turning up at the Choir Hall for the 10am start. The route saw us follow the back roads to Rogiet, a circuit of the parkrun course on the newly laid gravel track, before taking the stony lanes to Undy and then onward to Redwick.
With no cafe’s open in Magor, we were served very nice coffee at the Wheatsheaf Inn before making our way back to Caldicot.

Lovely walk over in the ‘dark’ country, from the “Boars Head” in Aust along the Severn Way to Oldbury. Sampled the cider at the “Anchor Inn” in Oldbury, before returning to Aust for Sunday lunch and more cider at the “Boars Head”.
