Birdie Boys – Spain 2025

A wonderful time was had by 10 members of the Birdie Boys on the annual golf tour, to Torremolinos on Spain’s Costa de Sol coast.

With two golf day’s booked at Alhaurin and Lauro golf courses, in glorious sunshine peaking at 33 degrees Centigrade. The first day being a doubles match won by Ron Powell and Paul Thomas, with the second day a Ryder Cup style match between an American Team, led by Alyn Dawe and a European Team captained by his brother Jason Dawe. In a closely fought out battle saw the American Team narrowly winning 3-2.

The evenings were spent in the many bars of Torremolinos, singing songs and drinking beer.

Choir Walkers – Chepstow Wander

Nice walk around Chepstow, including Piercefield Mansion and the former Chepstow Shipyard site now a large housing estate with relics of the past remembered.

Choir Riders – Cwm and Magor

A nice ride to the pretty Cwm valley and then onto Magor for refreshments. We were joined by three new members on this Let’s Ride promoted ride – Samantha Perrett, Sharon Foster and Brian Hughes.

Choir Riders – Berkeley

Four riders made the start on the M48 Link Road in Chepstow for the ride over the bridge to Berkeley.

Stopping for refreshments at the Tea Rooms, before heading back along the cycle route back to the bridge and over to Chepstow.
