Choir Walkers – Thornwell Woods

Sunday, 12th February 2023

Lovely walk with a record breaking crowd of 18 walkers, and a little puppy named “Dusty”.

Starting off at Chepstow Castle car park, climbing up through the town before dropping down Dark Hill to Mathern and a pit-stop at the Millers for drinks. Continuing through the village past the church and the Bishops Palace, across the fields onto the Wales Coastal Path to Bulwark and the Thornwell estate. Very steep climb up to Raglan Way continuing through the woods back to the bottom of Chepstow and the finish.

Sunday lunch was enjoyed by twelve of the walkers in the George Hotel.

A freezing morning at Rogiet Country Park which saw a record attendance of 151 runners and a course record of 17.05 minutes for a young 11-14 year old Lucas Salvage from Lliswerry Runners.
