Littleton-upon-Severn<\/b>\u00a0is a village in\u00a0<\/span>South Gloucestershire<\/a>\u00a0near the mouth of the\u00a0<\/span>River Severn<\/a>\u00a0and is located to the west of\u00a0<\/span>Thornbury<\/a>.\u00a0The village became famous on 15 January 1885 when a whale was stranded on the river shore there. That area of the village has since been named Whale Wharf.<\/span><\/p>\n

Six members headed off over the Severn Bridge into England and visited the pretty village of Littleton Upon Severn with a stop at the White Hart Inn. The ride coincided with the Severn Bridge Half-Marathon so it was with great heart we were able to cheer them on as we rode past them. The pub is very much worth another visit, the smell of Sunday roasts was delicious.<\/p>\n

The ride was finished off with the Ice Bucket Challenge taken up by David, Chris and Tony, with water chuckers Carolyn and Kirstie filmed by Sue – great laugh!<\/p>\n
